Are they strong enough to hold soil?

Yes, absolutely. Our one-piece welded corner and leg construction, combined with a lower support bracket and center support, create unmatched strength. Tested for weight capacity, the 2.0ft x 4.0ft supports 700 lbs, the 2.0ft x 6.0ft supports 1000 lbs, and the 2.0ft x 8.0ft supports 1400 lbs. Are Vego Raised Beds safe for children and the elderly?

Vego is probably the safest elevated garden bed on the market. Its superior structural strength ensures unmatched stability, standing firm like a mountain without ever collapsing. Designed as a rounded rectangle, it eliminates any sharp corners, while the metal top edge is equipped with a safety rubber strip for comfortable contact and enhanced safety.

How much soil is needed?

Based on soil capacity and natural settlement, we recommend preparing the following soil volumes:
2.0ft x 4.0ft bed: 7.63 cubic feet
2.0ft x 6.0ft bed: 11.15 cubic feet
2.0ft x 8.0ft bed: 15.01 cubic feet

What can your plant in the elevated garden bed?

You can grow a wide variety of plants in your elevated garden bed, including:
Vegetables like tomatoes, lettuce, carrots, and peppers.
Fruits such as strawberries and dwarf fruit trees.
Herbs like basil, mint, and rosemary.
Flowers such as marigolds, petunias, and sunflowers.
Elevated garden beds are perfect for any plant that needs good drainage and healthy soil!

What are Vego Garden Metal Elevated Garden Bed made from?

Vego Garden metal elevated garden beds are made from a Zinc, Magnesium, and Aluminum coated steel. We have combined this metal with our award-winning AkzoNobel paint to develop a new material which we call VZ 2.0. The first material of its kind, VZ 2.0’s exceptional performance has been verified at the Texas A&M National Corrosion & Materials Reliability Lab. Durable and long-lasting, it provides superior performance and corrosion resistance under different environmental conditions.

Is it safe to grow vegetables and frutis in Vego Raised Beds?

Yes, absolutely. Vego Elevated Garden Bed is made of galvanized steel with an Aluzinc coating, and the surface is coated with USDA- Standard powder. All materials are non-toxic and eco-friendly, ensuring the safety of your homegrown food. A similar material is widely used in water tanks, and Aluzinc steel is the most popular garden bed material in Australia.

What are the benefits of Aluzinc Steel compared to other materials?

Aluzinc Steel stands out for its excellent corrosion resistance, durability, heat reflectivity, and minimal maintenance requirements. It is particularly beneficial in harsh environments, offering long-term value. While other materials like wood and plastic have their uses, Aluzinc generally provides superior performance for applications that require strength, longevity, and low upkeep.

Why is the bottom panels bare metal without color?

Our bottom panels of elevated garden bed maintains its natural metal form as it is not a visible surface. It is made from VZ 2.0 – galvanized steel with a patented zinc alloy coating, and is processed using continuous bending technology to ensure weight strength. This design meets the 20-year lifespan requirement while aligning with the goal of reducing carbon emissions.

Is free shipping included for orders over $99?

Absolutely! Enjoy free shipping on orders over $99 within the contiguous US, except soil-related and gift card products.

When will the Pre-Order items be shipped out?

The estimated fulfillment date is listed on the product page, please only place your pre-order if you are OK with the waiting time. Your order confirmation email will also have the fulfillment date.

What if the package gets damaged during shipping?

Because of the weight of our packages, there may be some panels bent in transit if UPS/Fedex handle it in a rough way. No worries, you can fix this easily so your gardening isn't delayed. Our panels are manufactured through a bending process from flat steel coils, in other words, they were bent before. It will not affect the corrosion resistance to bend them back. It may be hard to bend all the panels at one time, but you can always bend them back one by one. Here is an instructional video you may find helpful: https://vimeo.com/583857883/0fd536aa86.
