This timer stands out because it offers two pre-set irrigation modes tailored for different gardening needs: V1 for raised garden beds and V2 for general lawn watering. The timer offers three modes. P Mode allows full customization of watering schedules, while V1 Mode is pre-set for garden bed irrigation and V2 Mode is designed for lawn watering. If multiple modes are set to start at the same time, the timer prioritizes P Mode first, followed by V1 and then V2.

V1 Mode is an easy-to-use setting that ensures optimal moisture levels for garden beds. From March to May and November to February, it operates on a schedule of watering every two days. During the warmer months from June to October, it increases to daily watering. Each watering session follows a structured cycle: water for three minutes, pause for three minutes, then water for another three minutes, totaling nine minutes per session. This method allows the soil to absorb moisture gradually, reducing runoff and maximizing hydration for plant roots.

V2 Mode is designed to provide deep watering for lawns, promoting healthier grass growth. From March to May and November to February, watering occurs every three days, while in the hotter months from June to October, the schedule shifts to every two days. Each session includes a carefully timed sequence to allow better soil absorption: water for five minutes, pause for three minutes, repeat this cycle three more times, resulting in a total runtime of 29 minutes. The combination of watering and pauses prevents surface runoff and encourages deep root development, leading to a more drought-resistant lawn.

Setting up the timer is straightforward and takes just a few minutes. Users first install the batteries and set the clock before performing a quick test. After that, they choose a start time, duration, and frequency for watering. Once settings are reviewed, the timer takes over, automatically regulating the watering schedule. One of the key features is the rain delay function, which pauses watering for 24, 48, or 72 hours, ensuring that plants aren’t overwatered after rainfall. The manual watering mode lets users water outside the programmed schedule for anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. The safety lock prevents unintentional setting changes, and the low battery indicator provides an alert when a replacement is needed.

The timer operates with water pressure ranging from 7.25 to 116.03 psi (0.5 to 8 bar) and has a maximum flow rate of 10 gallons per minute. It is built with an IP54 waterproof rating, making it resistant to dust and water splashes. The working temperature range is between 37.4°F and 122°F. It connects to a 3/4" standard garden hose and is powered by two AA batteries for the Single Zone model and two AAA batteries for the Dual Zone model. Batteries are not included.

To function properly, the timer must be installed in a vertical position. For a secure fit, it’s recommended to use the included plumber’s tape at connection points. Additionally, it comes with a cleanable and replaceable filter to prevent clogging and ensure long-term performance.

When the timer is not in use or during freezing temperatures, please remove the batteries and store indoors.

Due to the design of the timer mechanism, there can be a 25-50% reduction in water flow depending on the supply pressure. Specifically the 2 Zone Timer, due to inlet water having to split between two outlets. Test and extend your irrigation duration if needed to compensate for the reduced water flow.

Because of the weight of our packages, there may be some panels bent in transit if UPS/Fedex handle it in a rough way. No worries, you can fix this easily so your gardening isn't delayed. Our panels are manufactured through a bending process from flat steel coils, in other words, they were bent before. It will not affect the corrosion resistance to bend them back.
